With so many of us cooped up indoors, we’ve been told that an extra Double XP event would very much help ease the pain. So that’s exactly what we’re going to do! Want XP boost? Just log in RS Double XP Weekend: Extended event between May 8 to May 18, and then you will be able to enjoy 48 hours of DXP over 10 days.

Double up your XP Gains

Double XP Weekend: Extended is the same Double XP Weekend you know and love, but with a little twist.

Double XP Weekend: Extended is designed to be a lot more relaxing than before. You get 48 hours of Double XP goodness, but you can use it as you like over the course of 10 days!

Double XP Weekend: Extended will return on Friday May 8th, running through to Monday May 18th. That gives you 10 whole days to spend your 48 hours of Double XP time in whatever way you wish.

To join in the fun, all you need to do is log in any time during the event. Simply log in whenever at any time between Friday, May 8th (12:00 Game Time) and Monday, May 18th (12:00 Game Time). As soon as you are in-game, your XP timer will start ticking. Bear in mind that your 48 hours of DXP will keep ticking down the whole time you’re logged in, so spend those minutes wisely! See you in-game!

How Does It Work?
Throughout every Double XP Weekend event, base XP for most combat and skilling activities is increased:
+100% for RuneScape members
+20% for free players

No XP boosts on Archaeology
While taking part in Double XP Weekend: Extended event, you also need to know that your Archaeology skill will not receive any XP boosts from this event.
To ensure that players who want to race to 99 and 120 can do so with a level playing field, RS team has stipulated that there are no boosts on Archaeology training during the first six months following its release, such as bonus experience, experience lamps, Wisdom aura, Wise perk, Refer a Friend, Clan Avatar and other boosts.
